Admiral’s House in South Carolina

The stately interiors of the Admiral’s House in South Carolina’s North Charleston were tapped as backdrops for when the Pogues step inside of the eerie Blackstone Manor. Built in 1905, the Neoclassical home is available for weddings and events with the option for overnight stays.

Crystal Pier in North Carolina

To gather intel, a handful of the Pogues visit a pier on the beach during episode three of season four. That destination is portrayed by Crystal Pier on Wrightsville Beach in North Carolina. The 475-foot fishing pier is adjoined to the historic Oceanic Restaurant, which is known for its locally sourced seafood. While the pier itself is free for the public to walk and fish on, it can also be reserved for private events, including wedding ceremonies. The restaurant also hosts events, like its annual oyster roast and full moon affairs.

Fort Fisher State Recreation Area in North Carolina

Part of the beach race in season four takes place at Fort Fisher State Recreation Area at Kure Beach. It’s the only park in the system that allows four-wheel-drive beach access, which makes it a go-to spot for surf fishing, according to the NC Division of Parks and Recreation. Like in OBX, the sandy shores are home to loggerhead sea turtles’ nests during the warmer months.

Lion Castle Estate in Barbados

Carlos Singh’s estate, which is featured in season three, is portrayed by Lion Castle Estate in St. Thomas, Barbados. Located on more than 140 acres, the property includes a plantation house built in 1721, a two-story apartment building, and a three-bedroom, one-bathroom Manager’s House. Currently, the property is on the market for $6.1 million.

Cattlewash Beach in Barbados

The Camerons own Guadelupe mansion, seen in season three, and the exterior of that home is located on Cattlewash Beach. Situated on the east coast of Barbados, the soothing setting is a popular spot for beach walks, where you can feel the ocean breeze and soak up the sun. But since currents are strong, swimming isn’t recommended.

St. John Parish Church in Barbados

The church that plays a key role in season three is portrayed by St. John Parish Church. The Gothic-inspired structure was first erected near Hackleton’s Cliff circa 1645. Sadly, it’s been destroyed by a hurricane and rebuilt on more than one occasion, according to Visit Barbados, and the existing building has stood since 1836.

Charleston Museum in South Carolina

The Pogues often find museum trips to be a necessary part of their treasure hunts. In season three, John B and Big John visit the Charleston Museum. Founded in 1773, this museum is the oldest in the United States. While there, visitors can explore collections and exhibitions about the South Carolina Lowcountry, including historic houses, a silver collection, and more.

Cove Spring House in Barbados

The Camerons’ Bahamas vacation home—a spectacular waterfront mansion with an infinity pool—proves to be a standout location in season two. In reality, that property is located in Barbados. Known as Cove Spring House, the house sits atop a coral cliff overlooking the Caribbean Sea and is available to rent. Not to mention, it’s a bit of a celeb-favorite destination since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, Elton John, and Simon Cowell have stayed there. Fairmont Royal Pavilion in Barbados

During season two, John B and Sarah hunker down at the Fairmont Royal Pavilion. The five-star hotel boasts more than 11 acres of heritage tropical gardens and Caribbean beachfront, making it an excellent spot for a relaxing retreat.

Edmondston-Alston House in South Carolina

There’s truly no shortage of historic homes featured throughout the series. For Carla Limbrey’s house at 27 King Street, the production tapped the Edmondston-Alston House. Constructed in 1825, the property is one of the oldest houses along the High Battery promenade in Charleston. The building has survived the Civil War, the earthquake of 1886, and many hurricanes. Today, it’s a museum where visitors can learn about the history of those who lived and labored on the property and view its collection of furniture, paintings, silver, books, and more.

Bathsheba Beach in Barbados

Bathsheba Beach in Barbados sets the scene for what JJ dubs Poguelandia. With crashing waves and striking rock formations, the beach offers no shortage of breathtaking views. It’s also home to the Soup Bowl, which surfers and bodyboarders travel to from near and far to ride the waves.

Lowndes Grove in South Carolina

Sarah Cameron’s family home, the fictional Tanneyhill estate, is depicted by Lowndes Grove. Located in Charleston, the historic house sits on 14 acres, is surrounded by oak groves, and maintains a waterfront view. Built in 1786, Lowndes Grove is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is currently used for weddings, meetings, receptions, and celebrations. Shem Creek in South Carolina

Many of the waterfront boat scenes are filmed on Shem Creek in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. A short drive from Charleston, the area is a local favorite for creekside dining and water activities.

Hunting Island Lighthouse

In season one, the lighthouse where the Pogues go looking for more answers is the Huntington Island Lighthouse in South Carolina. Located in Hunting Island State Park, the lighthouse was originally built in 1859 and later rebuilt in 1875 after it was destroyed during the Civil War. While it’s currently closed for tours due to maintenance, visitors can still view the lighthouse from the ground and chat with on-hand docents to learn more about the lighthouse.
