With six teams on bye in Week 12, we’re treated to what would be considered a relatively light injury report, especially for this stage of the season. However, we have one very prominent confirmed absence at quarterback, and there are also a couple of big names at receiver to be concerned with. Without further ado, let’s dive right into the latest as of Sunday morning:

Kickers
The Panthers’ Eddy Pineiro (knee) is questionable for Sunday’s game against the Vikings and finished the week with a missed practice Friday. However, as per head coach Dave Canales’ comments Friday, Pineiro is expected to play, and the fact Carolina didn’t sign a kicker or promote one from the practice squad Saturday seems to confirm the veteran will be available.

- The Lions’ Terrion Arnold (groin) is out for Sunday’s game against the Colts.

1 de setembro de 2026A engenheira agrônoma Mirian Soares de Amorim, aluna egressa do curso de Agronomia e do mestrado em Ciências Ambientais, do campus Floresta da Ufac, em Cruzeiro do Sul, obteve o 2º lugar na categoria Pós-Graduação do 5º Prêmio Margarida Alves de Estudos sobre Ruralidades e Feminismos, cujo resultado final foi divulgado em 17 de março. O evento foi promovido pelo Ministério do Desenvolvimento Agrário e Agricultura Familiar.
O estudo destaca a articulação entre a transição agroecológica e a igualdade de gênero, enfatizando o papel central das mulheres rurais, ribeirinhas e agricultoras na preservação da agrobiodiversidade e na soberania alimentar na Amazônia. No mestrado, sob orientação do professor Kleber Andolfato de Oliveira, Mirian também aprofundou investigações sobre o desenvolvimento sustentável e o papel das populações rurais no manejo dos ecossistemas amazônicos.

Ufac consolida criação do curso de Farmácia com 50 vagas — Universidade Federal do Acre

31 de agosto de 2026O reitor da Ufac, Josimar Ferreira, reuniu-se com membros da comissão responsável pela proposta de criação do curso de Farmácia. O encontro ocorreu nesta segunda-feira, 31, na sala de reuniões da Reitoria, visando consolidar o Projeto Político-Pedagógico da nova graduação, além de homenagear, com a entrega, pela Federação Nacional dos Farmacêuticos (Fenafar), de Menção Honrosa ao reitor e a pessoas cujo empenho culminou na abertura do curso.
A iniciativa faz parte do programa Universidades Transformadoras, pactuada com o Ministério da Educação (MEC). O curso prevê a oferta de 50 vagas para estudantes e liberação de 11 códigos de vagas para professores. A aula inaugural e início das atividades acadêmicas estão previstos entre 2028 e 2029.
“Esse é um curso que se assenta fortemente na demanda de conhecer os bioativos da floresta amazônica e transformar esse conhecimento em riqueza, patentes, inovação e qualidade de vida para a sociedade”, disse Josimar Ferreira. Além disso, ele ressaltou a necessidade de conectar o novo curso às estruturas já consolidadas da Ufac, otimizando disciplinas e espaços curriculares em conjunto com as áreas de saúde e química.
A presidente da comissão de criação do curso, Andréia Andrade, lembrou que o projeto começou em 2011. “Hoje nos reunimos com a perspectiva de viabilizar a abertura do curso diante do que já temos na instituição. Nosso objetivo é ofertar uma formação generalista, com investimento otimizado na estrutura existente e com forte inserção na pesquisa e extensão, aproveitando a nossa biodiversidade e criando caminho para futuros programas de pós-graduação.”
Também participaram da reunião representantes externos da categoria profissional, como a ex-conselheira federal, membro da comissão e diretora de Relações Institucionais da Fenafar, Isabela de Oliveira Sobrinho. “Acompanhei a busca por esse projeto pedagógico desde o início e ver essa etapa final é um avanço enorme”, pontuou. “É um trabalho a muitas mãos para trazer o melhor para a Ufac. Trata-se de um curso de grande magnitude, focado em tecnologias de medicamentos e em pesquisas com nossas plantas nativas para gerar qualidade de vida à população.”
